Potato Fry

These are like french fries, only better. I came across this recipe here months ago but the very idea of deep frying kept me postponing and then I had to make it today since I had made Sambar Rice for lunch and this would make a great combo. My 4 year old loved it so much and is urging that I make another batch right away. Kids like what they shouldnt be, just like adults 🙂

Potatoes : 4 medium washed and peeled

Oil : For Deep Frying ( I used Rice Bran Oil)

Chilli powder : 1/2 tsp optional

Slice the potatoes and further chop them into very small pieces.

Drop the pieces in cold water and let it soak for 15 mins

Drain and deep fry till they turn golden brown.

Drain on paper towel

Add salt to taste. Serve
